From extending battery life and safety to integrating EVs with renewable energy grids, EVIC is a one-stop destination for next- generation electric mobility research.

Here, faculty and students collaborate with industry experts to solve real-world challenges in key areas like battery technologies, smart motor drives, charging infrastructure, and power-electronic converters. Our mission is to design electric mobility solutions that are cleaner, smarter, and more interconnected—enabling the shift toward a sustainable future.

Infrastructure That Sees Ahead

EVIC is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to support the entire lifecycle of electric vehicle innovation:

  • EV Motor Test Rig
    Enables detailed analysis of motor efficiency, torque performance, and reliability across various load scenarios.
  • Battery Systems Testing & Control Setup
    Supports evaluation of battery degradation, development of robust Battery Management Systems (BMS), and exploration of fast-charging capabilities.
  • Smart Charging & V2X Testbed (Planned)
    A future-ready facility to enable research in vehicle-to-grid (V2G), vehicle-to-home (V2H), and vehicle-to-anything (V2X) technologies, along with renewable energy integration and smart grid management.
