Our Facilities

Powering the Future of Mobility

At the Electric Vehicle Innovation Center (EVIC), we’re building the technologies that drive tomorrow’s mobility. From advancing battery life and safety to integrating EVs with renewable grids, EVIC is a one-stop destination for sustainable transportation research. Here, students, faculty, and industry experts collaborate to solve real-world challenges across battery technology, smart motor drives, charging infrastructure, and power-electronic converters. The center is committed to developing cleaner, smarter, and more connected electric mobility solutions.

Infrastructure That Sees Ahead

EVIC houses specialized infrastructure to support end-to-end electric vehicle research. Our EV Motor Test Rig enables in-depth testing of motor efficiency, torque, and durability across varied load conditions — ensuring high performance and reliability. The Battery Systems Testing and Control Setup supports evaluation of EV batteries, monitoring degradation patterns, and advancing safe, long-lasting Battery Management Systems (BMS). A planned facility will focus on vehicle-to-grid interactions, including Vehicle-to-Anything (V2X), smart grid management, and renewable energy integration — driving research toward scalable, sustainable EV charging ecosystems.
