CEVI is backed by a strong partnership with Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, and is home to the SEED Lab (Student Ecosystem for Engineered Data)—a collaborative space where students, researchers, and industry come together to innovate the next frontier of visual intelligence.
The Center for Visual Intelligence (CEVI) at KLE Tech is dedicated to solving real-world challenges through advanced AI-driven visual computing. Our research spans both generative and discriminative tasks—ranging from image restoration and synthetic data creation to object detection, tracking, and semantic scene understanding across 2D and 3D modalities.
We apply our research in domains such as Digital Heritage, Agriculture, and Smart Manufacturing, using multimodal data that combines images, video, audio, text, and sensor inputs. We also explore Extended Reality (XR) to enrich research communication and visualization.
In partnership with leading organizations, particularly Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, CEVI has established the SEED Lab, fostering a culture of innovation, mentorship, and industry-academia collaboration. Our mission is to equip students and researchers with the tools to lead in AI, and to shape a future driven by vision and intelligence.
