Your Pathway To Admission

If you’re seeking admission under the NRI quota, start by registering online through the KLE Tech portal. Fill out the online application form and complete the fee payment via SWIFT, E-Payment, NEFT, or RTGS before the deadline mentioned in the admission schedule on our website. 

All required documents must be uploaded through the same portal during the application process.

Note: Only applicants who complete the registration and document submission process will be considered for admission.

Qualification Criteria

Age

  • Applicants born on or after October 01, 1997 are eligible.
  • Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University Certificate (Class X or equivalent) or any certificate issued by the Government authorities shall be considered authentic.

Academic Eligibility

  • All fee payments for the first year BE/B.Arch programs must be made online through the University portal supported by the Admission office. Alternatively, payment can be made by bank demand draft in the name of “The Registrar, KLE Technological University,” payable at Hubballi.
  • Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e., Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent [See Appendix-I] from any education system recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiu.ac.in) with specified subjects.
  • Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2024-25 and expecting their final results by August 31, 2025, may also apply.Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2024-25 and expecting their final results by August 31, 2025, may also apply.
  • Applicants should have successfully completed Mathematics, Physics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology in 11th and/or 12th grade, as applicable.
  • Applicants should have a valid JEE (Main) 2025 rank.

Residential Requirement

  • All foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, or Indian nationals studying abroad who meet the prescribed admission criteria are eligible.
  • For Indian nationals, the prescribed admission criteria include completing at least two years of education, including 11th and 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country within the last eight years, and passing the qualifying examination from abroad.

  • Seats & Fees for CIWG Applicants

Reservation for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG)

We reserve 5% of seats (within the 15% supernumerary quota) specifically for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf countries. This means that one-third of the NRI quota seats are set aside for CIWG applicants. If you are admitted under this category, the tuition fee will be INR X per year, payable either in INR or the equivalent in USD.  For the latest details and updates, please visit our website or get in touch with us directly—we’re here to help you through the process.

Documents & Eligibility for CIWG Applicants

If you’re applying under the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf (CIWG) quota, you’ll need to provide proof that one of your parents is currently working or has worked in a Gulf country. Please submit the following documents as part of your application:
  • Copy of the parent’s passport
  • Copy of the parent’s valid visa dated any time in 2025
  • Copy of the parent’s valid work permit dated any time in 2025
  • Certificate from the parent’s employer confirming employment in a Gulf country (as per Appendix III of the UG Brochure). If employment ended anytime in 2025, the certificate should state that date.

To apply under different categories, you’ll need to pay the registration fee and the first semester tuition fee before submitting your online application. Here’s the fee breakdown for 2025 admissions:

Foreign nationals from SAARC countries (except India) who passed their qualifying exams in SAARC countries are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver. They need to pay X.

Fees, Accommodation & Documents

Everything you need to know about fee payment, hostel stay, and submitting your documents to ensure a smooth admission process.
Hostel fees and related expenses typically range between X and X per annum, which are payable at the time of admission. We recommend you check the institute’s website or contact the concerned authorities directly for detailed information on hostel availability, facilities, and other related costs.
To apply, you’ll need to submit your application online along with the registration fee and first semester tuition fee. Payments can be made through SWIFT, E-Payment, NEFT, or RTGS transfer. Please ensure that the entire payable amount is transferred in a single transaction. Keep in mind that any transaction charges related to SWIFT or electronic payments are your responsibility.

Before submitting your application, please ensure the following for a smooth process:
  • Keep scanned copies of all required documents ready in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Each file should be no larger than 500 KB (color or grayscale).
  • Use tools like Microsoft Paint or Office Picture Manager to resize images.
  • Upload a clear, sharp photograph for your admission order.
  • Ensure all documents are legible.
  • Make sure your name exactly matches on your passport, qualifying exam certificate, and JEE (Main) result.
You’ll need to upload the following documents along with your online application:
  • Applicant’s passport (Nepalese nationals without passports must submit an authenticated citizenship card).
  • Proof of date of birth (Class X or equivalent certificate from Secondary Education Board or government authorities).
  • Mark sheets of 10th, 11th, and 12th (or equivalent) exams.
  • Certificate from school authorities confirming completion of 11th and 12th (Appendix-II format on school letterhead).

Approved Education Qualifications

For admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering/ Architecture/ Planning, Universities/ Institutes in India require the applicants to have completed at least 12 years of schooling (equivalent to 10+2 system of Indian Education). Applicant should have successfully completed Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th and/ or 12th, as applicable in the respective boards. Approved Education Qualifications

The following foreign examination have been recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2 stage qualification of an Indian Board giving access to the Bachelor Degree programme at Indian Universities. In case applicant’s qualification is not listed, they need to apply to AIU for an equivalence certificate. (For details Visit Association of Indian Universities website http://www.aiu.ac.in)
  • 12 years Baccalaureate Certificate of Chad, Gabon, France and Tunisia.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma awarded by International Baccalaureate Organization Geneva, Switzerland. 
  • 12 years General Secondary Education Certificate of the Ministry of Education Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries.
  • GCE/ IGCSE/ GCSE examinations of the approved British Examination Bodies, with Minimum 5 (Five) subjects in A, B, C Grades including English at ORDINARY (‘O’) Level and 2/3 subjects at ADVANCED LEVEL has been equated with +2 stage qualification. Candidates intending to join Professional courses are required to have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics in ADVANCED LEVEL & English at AS LEVEL.
  • 12 Year High School Diploma from accredited Schools of USA.
Intermediate/ Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary examinations of the approved Boards in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.
  • 12 year Secondary Stage qualification of National Examinations Board of the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia, Sudan.
  • 12-year Secondary Stage examination conducted by various Provinces in * Canada and Australia.
  • ** GCE “Ordinary and Advanced” level examination of the Department of Education, Government of Sri Lanka, Singapore, Hong Kong & Mauritius.
  • 12 year STPM examination of Malaysia.
  • 12 year Secondary Stage qualification of Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Republic of Vietnam and Yemen Arab Republic.
  • “Abitur” examination of Germany.
  • 12 year High School Diploma awarded by the accredited American Schools/ International Schools in other countries following American System of Education.
  • Pre University Certificate Examination of the Ministry of Education, Iran.
12 year Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Ministry of Education, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
  • 12 Year Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Ministry of Education, Islamic Republic of Iraq.
  • 12 Year Senior School certificate Examination of West African Examinations Council (WACE) in A, B, C Grades on a scale of 1-4 (A-1, B-2, B-3, C-4) conducted in the countries of Nigeria etc.
  • EXAMEN D’ETAT of the Ministry of Primary, Secondary & Professional Education in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • 12 year Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with more than 5 (Five) subjects in the Grades ‘A’ ‘B’ & ‘C’ of the Kenya National Examinations Council, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with minimum 2 (Two) Principal Passes & 2(Two) Subsidiary Passes of the National Examinations Council of Tanzania.
  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination with minimum 2 (Two) Principal Passes & 2 (Two) Subsidiary Passes of the Uganda Examinations Boards.
  • 12-year Certificate D’Enseignement Secondaire Generale (D’Humanities General) of the Ministry of National Education, Republic of Burundi.
  • Eritrean Secondary Education Certificate of the Ministry of Education, State of Eritrea.
  • Baccalaureat De L’Enseignement Secondaire General (Baccalaureat of General Secondary Education) of the Ministry of National Education, Republic of Cameroon.
  • Baccalaureat De L’Enseignement DU Second Degre (Baccalaureate of Secondary Education) of Republic of Chad.
  • Higher School Certificate Examination of Department of Education, Papua New Guinea.
  • Level III of NZQA.
  • Candidate having passed Ontario Secondary School Diploma of the Ministry of Education, Ontario should have acquired minimum 6 (Six) “U/M” (University Preparatory Courses).
  • Candidates having passed O and A level Examinations should fulfill the same conditions as prescribed at Sr. No. (4).
  • High School Diploma awarded by the American Schools in USA and other parts of the world should be accredited either by the State Departments of Education OR by Six Regional
