The Central Library, established in 1947 and shifted to its current state-of-the-art building (C-Lite) in 2003, spans 3000 sq.mtrs with a 600-seat capacity. It hosts a robust collection of 1,01,165 volumes across 41,935 titles, and subscribes to 1,88,905 eBooks from sources including EBSCO Academic Collection, IEEE MIT Press, Wiley, McGraw-Hill Access Engineering, Pearson, Elsevier, CBS, and VIDEEYA with perpetual access.
To support research, the Library subscribes to 43 national and international print journals and 24,637 full-text e-journals from IEEE, ASME, ASCE, EBSCO Management, EBSCO Art & Architecture, and Automotive Abstracts. It also houses 800+ CDs/DVDs.
The Digital Library, equipped with 710 Mbps high-speed internet, is part of a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus. It offers remote access to e-resources and maintains a digitized archive of faculty publications, theses, seminar papers, question papers, and rare collections via DSPACE, with scanning support from CZURTEK ET 16 PLUS.

Digitization of organized collections of e-resources or publications of Faculty publications, Project Reports, Some of the rare collections of books, Question Papers, Seminar papers, and Theses are being uploaded to the Digital Library server using DSPACE is accessible within the Campus. Digitization process using CZURTEK ET 16 PLUS BOOK SCANNER being carried out.

Digital Library set up in Central Library is well facilitated with high bandwidth of 710Mbps, and the complete Campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

The Library has automated its services using the Web-Based Library Management System CONTINEO, a comprehensive package to deal with most routine library transactions. All the resources have been completely Bar Coded, which helps in Transactions, OPAC (Online Public Access of Catalogues), and reservation of Books.

The Library has facilitated remote access to e-resources through the services of the KNIMBUS Digital Library Platform with Remote Access Solution.

Digital Access

The Central Library uses the CONTINEO web-based system for all transactions, catalog searches (OPAC), and book reservations with full barcode integration. Students can remotely access e-resources through the KNIMBUS Digital Library Platform. To promote e-learning, over 23,000 NPTEL video courses and GATE Tutor content are hosted on local servers, accessible 24/7. Tools like Turnitin, Grammarly, and IRINS support research, writing, and publication efforts.

Research & Resources

The library hosts a rare and specialized collection of 1,250+ books (1,500 copies), bound journal volumes dating back to 1970, 123 architecture design portfolios, and 800+ IS standards/data handbooks. A robust collection of digital and physical academic resources supports advanced research and domain-specific learning.

Services & Memberships

Core services include open access lending, reference/referral, reprographic facilities, and book bank schemes for SC/ST, economically challenged, and high-performing students. The library is a member of major academic networks like DELNET, e-ShodhSindhu, Shodhganga, NDLI, Current Science, SWAYAM, and NPTEL.

Lending Service

Books can be borrowed by students, faculty, researchers, and staff across the KLE Tech community with ease.

Book Bank

Books are issued for a full semester, with priority given to SC/ST and low-income students—up to four books based on availability.

SMS and Email Alert Service

Get instant notifications on your library transactions, due dates, and reminders via SMS and email.

Reprographic Service

Photocopying of select book pages is available at nominal rates, in accordance with copyright rules.

Search the library catalogue by title, author, or subject from anywhere on the campus intranet.

Book Reservation Service

Users can reserve books in advance through the library portal or their Contineo account.

Document Delivery Service

Receive non-returnable copies of book chapters, rare drawings, or journal articles via email or in-person delivery.
