Research Grant Schemes

Heritage Club, Department of History, KLE Law College, Bengaluru, invites applications for “Small Research Projects Grant” for Heritage studies.

The research proposal should be in a Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Historical Heritage, Legal History, Archaeology and Antiquarian Law, or may be interdisciplinary in nature having significant Heritage content.

Purpose & Duration

The Heritage Club awards up to three small study and cutting-edge research project grants, each with a duration of up to three months. Each grant provides financial support not exceeding ₹15,000 INR to facilitate fieldwork, acquisition of research materials, and other relevant resources, including small-scale data collection.

Eligibility

These grant awards are open to Indian citizens pursuing undergraduate (three- or five-year) or postgraduate degrees, Ph.D. scholars, and professionals engaged in the study of Indian Heritage and Culture.

Purpose and Duration

The Heritage Club, awards a maximum of 3 small study and cutting-edge research projects grants with a duration of up to 3 Months and a grant up to not exceeding 15,000 INR for the purpose of undertaking fieldwork, for the acquisition of research materials, and other relevant sources, or those undertaking small scale data collections.

Eligibility

These grant awards are available to citizens of India, who are perusing graduation degree (Three or Five Years), Post-Graduation students, Ph.D. Scholars, and professional engaged in the study of Indian Heritage and Culture.

Grant Application Guidelines

The Heritage Club encourages research proposals in areas related to Indian heritage and culture. Each proposal must be well-structured, approximately 1,000 words, and include Introduction, Study Area, Previous Work, Research Map, Aims and Objectives, and Methodology. All proposals must be approved by the Head of Institution or Guide.

Affiliation Requirement

Candidates must demonstrate their institution’s support for their research proposal. The application should include an authorized signature from the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Director, HOD, Research Guide, or Mentor.
Research Reporting
Students, researchers, or award holders must submit a comprehensive project report on their research topic along with a financial statement of expenses. This financial statement must be certified by an institutional authority or the academic supervisor. If a researcher discontinues the grant without completing the project, they will be required to refund the entire grant amount.
Progress Reports:
The final report should be a minimum of 80 pages (excluding pictures) and must include the signatures of the supervisor/mentor and a declaration certificate.
Important Information
Applicants are requested to adhere to the deadlines and stay informed about the Heritage Club’s communications. Submission of applications and research proposals must be completed by 25-08-2022. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for 03-09-2022, available both online and offline. Results will be announced on 10-09-2022.
