Moot Court Committee

Experiential Learning

At KLE Law College, our Moot Court Committee plays a vital role in shaping the advocacy skills of our students. Moot Court is a co-curricular activity where law students engage in simulated court or arbitration proceedings, including oral arguments. Through these sessions, our students develop analytical, argumentative, observational, and drafting skills. The experience also offers them valuable exposure to litigation practices across national and international legal forums.
About Moot Court

Advocacy Training

Moot Court is a simulation of real courtroom proceedings where law students present arguments before a bench of judges in a simulated environment. Teams are assigned legal problems in advance and are required to conduct thorough research, prepare written submissions, and present oral arguments. By engaging with statutory provisions and case laws, students develop their ability to argue on both points of law and facts, gaining invaluable practical experience.

From Campus to Courtroom

At KLE Law College, we provide extensive support and training for students to participate in moot court competitions at national and international levels. Over the years, our students have consistently excelled, winning several awards and recognitions.
To prepare them, we conduct Intra-College Moot Court Competitions and mandate final-year students to argue three different sets of problems as part of the curriculum. With state-of-the-art facilities, including a dedicated Moot Court Hall, and a structured selection process led by faculty mentors, we ensure our students gain real courtroom experience and are well-prepared for external competitions.

Launchpad for Talent

Every year, our college organizes the Intra-College Moot Court Competition to introduce students to the art of mooting and prepare them for regional, national, and international platforms. This competition acts as both a training ground and a preliminary screening process for future representatives of the college.
The event is divided into two divisions: one for 1st and 2nd-year students of the 5-year course, and another for senior batches of both 5-year and 3-year courses. Separate problems are framed to assess research, analytical, and argumentative skills.
In the 2017 edition, 117 teams participated with great enthusiasm. Muskaan Aggarwal and Syed Raihanul Hussain (2nd Year BBALLB) won in Division I, while Chaitra Bhat and Nitin Kushwaha (4th Year BBALLB) won in Division II. Best Speaker awards were given to Sneha Suresh (Division I) and Chaitra Bhat (Division II).
