Digital Resources & Services

Our Digital Library serves as a gateway to primary, authentic legal information for faculty, students, alumni, and other users. With a vision to provide a state-of-the-art information environment, it supports academic activities by offering an ideal space for learning and research. The library facilitates resource discovery through services such as library orientation, circulation, OPAC access, current awareness updates, newspaper clipping services, photocopying, printing, remote access to e-resources, plagiarism checking, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Housed in a collection developed over 48 years, the library contains rare books, manuscripts, special reports, and classic legal texts to aid teaching, learning, and research. Its multidisciplinary collection includes acts and statutes, reports and commentaries, journals, magazines and their back volumes, encyclopedias, dictionaries, memorials, and other essential legal resources. This carefully curated collection reflects the recommendations of subject experts and the needs of our library user community.

The library is open on all working days, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, providing students and faculty with a conducive environment for study, research, and academic exploration.

Integrated Library Management System (ILMS)

Our library housekeeping services are fully automated using EasyLib Integrated Library Management Software. Initially implemented in 2006 with a multi-user license, the system has now been upgraded to EasyLib 6.2a – Web Version. This professional software ensures uninterrupted library services and offers a range of dynamic modules to efficiently manage all library operations.

Web-OPAC

The library offers a Web-OPAC (Open Public Access Catalogue), enabling users to search the library collection from anywhere in the world. Searches can be performed by title, author, subject, keyword, and more. It also provides detailed member information, including borrowed books, requested books, reservations, and due fines. The system is password protected to ensure secure access.

In-Out Management

Our in-out management system records library visits through barcode scanners. This allows for accurate tracking of user activity and the generation of extensive visitor reports, ensuring efficient monitoring of library usage.

Circulation

All library print materials are barcoded, enabling smooth circulation including issuance, return, and renewal of books. This system saves time, maintains accurate records, and ensures uninterrupted library services.
  • Streamlined Library Management

Circulation & Records

The library uses Easylib software to keep all records up to date. The Catalogue/Accessioning module maintains data of all library materials, while the Membership Management module stores member details. The Periodicals module tracks periodical accessions and records. Additional modules such as Acquisition Management, Feedback, Stock Verification, Multilanguage support, Digital Library, and Reports make library operations efficient, transparent, and easy to manage.

Air Online

AIR Online is a comprehensive Indian legal database providing access to PAN-India law reports. It covers judgments from all branches of law, including civil, criminal, and revenue cases, along with articles related to bare acts. AIR reports cases decided by the Supreme Court of India and High Courts across all states, making it an essential resource for legal research and study.
