Our Student Induction Programme (SIP) is designed to ease the transition into college life. It helps students become familiar with their chosen programme of study, the campus facilities, and the academic culture. The programme also creates opportunities for peer bonding, mentoring, and guidance, ensuring every student feels supported and prepared from day one.

Building a Strong Start

  • The main aim of the programme is to instil the ideas, practices and spirit of the college.
  • To enable the students to understand and have a better relationship with the faculty members for setting the pace of fruitful teaching-learning experiences.
  • To help the students feel comfortable in the new environment and adjust to the customs and practices of the college.
  • To enable the students to become familiar with the amenities and accessing the intellectual and physical resources of the institution.
  • To raise awareness of college policies and procedures.
  • To provide information about the methods of learning and assessment procedures.
  • To help students to review their progress and manage their transition to their present programme.

Building a Strong Start

  • The Induction Committee prepares the detailed programme in consultation with the Head of Institution, IQAC Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, and senior faculty members.
  • The committee decides the duration (7–10 days).
  • The programme includes lectures, interactive sessions, and activities.
  • Participants include new students, faculty mentors, institution heads, alumni, student council, senior students, society members, and invited guests.
  • A dedicated induction page is hosted on the website with schedule details and student feedback options.
  • Induction is a mandatory non-credit course.
  • A mentor coordinator is appointed to manage mentor groups, discussions, and meetings.
