Cultural & Historical Initiatives

The Heritage Club aims to integrate history into the everyday curriculum alongside other graduate-level subjects through continuous active and practical learning. The club emphasizes understanding places of cultural or natural importance, as recognized by UNESCO and the State and Central Archaeological Survey of India. It encourages students to explore the diverse facets of Indian and global heritage and fosters respect for cultural diversity through awareness programs focused on the protection and preservation of monuments and heritage sites.

Membership Benefits & Engagement

  • Members receive a Heritage Club badge and ID card, joining a growing community of heritage protectors.
  • Active students are eligible for the “Best Student Organizer and Heritage Protector” Award, based on their contributions to preserving Indian heritage.
  • Certificates are provided for participation in each activity, and an Appreciation Certificate is awarded at the end of the academic year for regular engagement.
  • The program builds awareness and hones knowledge in heritage through:
  • Learning the significance of history, archaeology, inscriptions, monuments, coins, museums, and related heritage matters.
  • Participating in outreach and educational programs at museums.
  • Engaging in training programs and awareness activities such as excavations, explorations, heritage walks, trekking, workshops, documentation methods, debates, drawing, and quizzes.

Activities & Initiatives

  • Collaborates with government bodies, institutions, and organizations to conduct heritage-related programs.
  • Reading and preserving ancient records, inscriptions, and manuscripts.
  • Understanding ancient court systems and administration.
  • Construction of massive burials and stone-making techniques from the Stone Age.
  • Iron-making processes in ancient times.
  • Daily life practices of ancient humans (pottery, bead making, diets, rituals).
  • Organizes museum visits to study antiquities, copper plates, inscriptions, coins, etc.
  • Conducts conservation techniques at college and historical/archaeological sites.
  • Raises awareness about preserving national heritage.
  • Provides training and awareness on traditional agriculture, food habits, folklore, and heritage knowledge for children and students.
  • Hosts cultural, social, and educational development programs: symposiums, discussions, student fairs, festivals, and conferences.
  • Educates on ancient traditional customs, administration, preservation, and conservation at colleges and historical sites.
  • Offers small research grants to legal students and scholars for projects in archaeology, history, heritage, art, tribal studies, and legal history, including interdisciplinary research with practical and policy applications.
