Established in 1979, the Central Library of KLE Technological University shifted to the Silver Jubilee Building, “JNANA CHETANA,” in 2007. Centrally located on campus, the library spans 1,700 sq. m. with seating for 400 students.
We house over 1,10,550 volumes of books across 27,800 titles, which we continually update with textbooks, reference books, reports, proceedings, encyclopedias, national and international standards, journals, audio-visual resources, CDs, educational videos, IS standards, and theses/reports. We subscribe to 49 national and international printed journals, primarily in Engineering, Technology, Management, and allied subjects. Our library also provides access to 188,905 e-books through the EBSCO Academic Collection, EBSCO Business Elite, IEEE MIT Press, Wiley, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, PHI India, New Age International, Elsevier, and VIDEYA. In addition, we offer 24,637 full-text e-journals from IEEE, ASME, ASCE, EBSCO Management, EBSCO Art & Architecture, Edzter, Bar & Bench, Hein Online, SCCOnline, BHR, Machine Design, Electronic Design and Automotive Abstract.
We provide open-access lending, reference and referral services, access to Indian standards, SC/ST book bank schemes, special encouragement programs for brilliant students, and reprographic facilities. These services ensure that all our students have convenient and equitable access to learning resources.
Faculty, students, research scholars, staff, and others with permission can become library members. Applications are available at the library.
Lending services are available to all members. UG and PG students can borrow up to 3 books per semester.
Books are issued for the entire semester, with priority for SC/ST and low-income students.
Students can borrow 1 book overnight and return it by 10:00 AM the next day.
Through DELNET, users can access books and journals not available locally. Our resources are also available to other DELNET members.
