The IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Dr. M. S. SheshgiriCampus, Belagavi, held its Installation Ceremony on 4th March 2025 to induct the new office bearers and Executive Committee. Presided over by Principal Dr. S. F. Patil, the event included a formal investiture where certificates and badges were presented to the newly appointed team. The Principal addressed the gathering on the value of IEEE membership, followed by the presentation of the annual plan by the new Chair. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photograph marking the beginning of the new tenure.
On 15th March 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, in association with WIE Society conducted a social outreach program at Government Kannada Senior Primary School No. 18, Angol, Belagavi. Awareness sessions on personal hygiene and Good Touch & Bad Touch were conducted for 30 young girls, promoting health, safety, and self-confidence. The event concluded with a Women’s Day celebration through cake cutting, interactive activities, and refreshments, creating an engaging and empowering environment.
On 20th March 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, in association with the IEEE MTTS-AP Chapter, conducted a webinar on “Fundamentals of Antennas and UWB MIMO Antennas” by Dr. Jeet Banerjee. The session introduced 40 participants to core antenna concepts and real-world applications of UWB and MIMO technologies in wireless and 5G systems. Interactive discussions and case studies ensured strong engagement, generating keen interest in RF and microwave domains.
On 9th April 2025, the IEEE PES Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, Student Branch hosted a seminar on “The Effect of Crypto on Electrical Grid – Energy Impacts of the Blockchain Revolution,” delivered by Dr. Sushant Mutagekar. The session highlighted the energy demands of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and their impact on power infrastructure while introducing students to blockchain applications in sustainability. With 60 participants, the event successfully sparked interest in the convergence of energy systems and emerging financial technologies.
On 18th April 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, in collaboration with the IEEE CAS Chapter, organized an industrial visit to Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd., Hubli, with 33 student participants. The visit provided exposure to the complete manufacturing process of AC motors, including core lamination, rotor construction, stator winding, impregnation, assembly, and testing. Students also interacted with industry engineers to understand design challenges, efficiency improvements, and quality control practices. The visit offered practical insights into large-scale electrical manufacturing and industrial standards.
On 22nd and 23rd April 2025, the IEEE PES Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, Student Branch celebrated PES Day under the theme “Clean Energy, Smarter Grids, Better Lives,” with participation from students across multiple colleges. The event featured EnergiCanvas, a poster presentation promoting innovative energy solutions, and Grid Masters – a quiz and debate competition testing knowledge of power systems and sustainable technologies. These activities fostered creativity, technical skills, teamwork, and awareness of clean energy, inspiring students to engage with sustainable and innovative power solutions.
On 25th April 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, in association with the IEEE MTTS-AP Chapter, organized a seminar on “Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose: Life and Work,” conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Pramod N. Vasambekar. The session highlighted Bose’s contributions to wireless communication, biophysics, and interdisciplinary research, engaging 66 participants through discussions and presentations, and inspiring appreciation for India’s scientific heritage and innovation.
On 28th April 2025, the IEEE WIE Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, Student Branch organized a technical visit to the Centre of Competence in Electric Vehicles at GIT Belagavi for over 30 participants. The visit provided hands-on exposure to EV technologies, battery systems, and sustainable mobility solutions, with interactive sessions and demonstrations that enriched students’ practical understanding and inspired innovation in green transportation.
On 28th May 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, in association with the IEEE CAS Chapter, conducted a School Outreach Program titled “A Learning Day with Curiosity and Creativity” at Angadi International School. Around 60 students participated in interactive sessions and hands-on activities on electronics, circuits, and problem-solving, fostering curiosity, creativity, and early interest in STEM fields.
On 2nd May 2025, the IEEE ITS Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, Student Branch organized a technical webinar on “Systems for Communication & Radar Application,” conducted by Dr. Anindya Ghosh, Lead Engineer at Robert Bosch, India. The session provided insights into modern radar and communication systems, covering FMCW radar, antenna design, signal processing, and satellite communication, and effectively enhanced participants’ understanding of real-world applications in these domains.
On 3rd May 2025, the IEEE PELS Chapter of KLE Technological University organized Electro-Hack at the EEE Computing Lab, engaging 16 teams in a competitive event focused on circuit analysis and simulation using MATLAB and Proteus. The three-round competition tested theoretical knowledge, analytical thinking, and practical implementation, providing participants with hands-on exposure to industry-standard tools and reinforcing their understanding of circuit design and problem-solving.
On 3rd May 2025, the IEEE Student Branch of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, in association with the IEEE CAS Chapter, conducted a workshop on “Semiconductor Industry & VLSI: A Gateway to Core Careers along with VLSI-DV” at the VLSI Lab. Around 35 students participated in interactive sessions and hands-on activities using EDA tools, gaining practical exposure to verification methodologies, simulation workflows, and design-debug processes, thereby bridging academic knowledge with industry practices in the semiconductor and VLSI domain.
On 9th May 2025, the IEEE PES Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, Student Branch organized a technical seminar on “Sustainable Energy Solutions with Microgrid,” conducted by Ms. Jyoti Nimbal, Co-founder of VRJ Energy Solutions. Over 35 participants attended to gain insights into microgrid integration, solar PV technologies, system design parameters, and real-world applications, including case studies on sustainable energy projects, fostering understanding of eco-friendly and resilient energy solutions.
On 14th May 2025, the IEEE PELS Chapter of KLE Technological University conducted a Proteus Simulation Workshop for first-year students, introducing them to logic gates and basic circuit simulation. The hands-on session enabled participants to build and test simple circuits, fostering understanding of digital logic and practical skills in simulation, while encouraging active learning and confidence in electronics fundamentals.
On 7th July 2025, the IEEE ITS Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi,Student branch organized a social outreach event, “Tech Spark – Spark Your Creativity,” at Good Shepherd Central School. The half-day program engaged students through career guidance sessions, AI workshops, and interactive games, fostering creativity, STEM awareness, and hands-on technological learning, while inspiring young learners to explore innovation and future career opportunities.
On 25th August 2025, the IEEE AESS Chapter of KLE Technological University, Belagavi, conducted the outreach event “Powering Young Minds” at Divine Providence School. The program included workshops on machine learning, project ideation to product development, and useful learning tools, concluding with an interactive quiz, thereby fostering STEM awareness, practical skills, and engaging learning among students.
