01

Review of Application

A startup seeking incubation applies by filling out the application form and submitting its Business Plan. The Review Committee—comprising domain experts, business mentors, and the internal team—scrutinizes the application and invites the startup for a pitch. After discussions on the area of business operation, USP, market sizing, and growth plans, the committee decides whether to incubate the startup. Once selected, the startup officially signs an MoU with CTIE and begins incubation.

02

Ideation

Startups entering the pre-incubation phase are often still refining their ideas. One-on-one discussions between the startup promoter and the internal team help assess their journey so far and identify the support they need moving forward. These objectives are clearly outlined for both the startup promoter and the incubator to ensure focused growth.

Additionally, weekly mentoring sessions by business and technology experts help review startup progress and provide strategic guidance.

Startup Review

Startups are reviewed once a month by a committee comprising internal and external experts. These reviews track progress and identify areas where additional support is required.

Cost & Timeline

The pre-incubation period typically ranges from three to six months, depending on the domain, adaptability of the entrepreneur, and progress toward materializing the idea. Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis if more time is needed. During this phase, overhead costs such as rentals are minimal. After successful completion, startups transition to the incubation phase to scale their ventures.
