Centre for Engineering Education Research

Transforming Learning through Engineering Education Research

Established in 2010, the Centre for Engineering Education Research (CEER) at KLE Tech emerged from the institution’s commitment to redefining engineering education post the grant of academic autonomy to BVBCET in 2007. Early collaborations, especially with IUCEE (Indo US Collaboration for Engineering Education), laid the groundwork for a shift towards innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment.

CEER promotes research and practice in curriculum design, learning analytics, formative assessments, and faculty development. Through undergraduate research programs, faculty conclaves, and global partnerships, the center empowers educators and students alike to enhance engineering learning outcomes. CEER continues to impact the national and global engineering education landscape by integrating educational technology, data-driven insights, and pedagogical innovation.

Vision

To promote innovation and research in Engineering Education to bring about a qualitative change in students’ learning experience.

Objectives

  • Empower faculty with best practices in curriculum design, teaching, and assessment.
  • Encourage innovation in teaching–learning processes and instructional design.
  • Foster a culture of research-driven teaching and continuous faculty development.
  • Design and offer innovative education-focused courses and programs.
  • Build strategic partnerships globally to enhance research and practice in engineering education.
  • Conduct impactful outreach through workshops, training, and conferences.
